BJP rejects demand of Occupied Kashmir political parties to restore statehood
Ruling party in India (BJP) once again rejects the demand of the political parties of Occupied Kashmir to restore the semi-autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir.
The BJP is of the view that the special status accorded to Jammu and Kashmir before August 5, 2019 was like a wall of hatred which was a major obstacle in the way of building and development of the state. Leaders of the National Conference, the People's Democratic Party, the People's Conference and the People's National Conference, and local members of India's two main opposition parties, the Congress and the Marxist Communist Party, issued a joint statement.
The statement said that all parties are adamant on everything stated in the Gupkar Declaration and want the special status of Jammu and Kashmir to be restored immediately and it to be given the status of a full state again on August 5, 2019. A day before the move to repeal Article 370, the leaders met at the residence of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Minister of Kashmir and President of the National Conference, on Gupkar Road in Srinagar and issued a joint statement titled "Gupkar Declaration". .
The statement warned the Indian government that amending or repealing Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution of India, under which Jammu and Kashmir had special status, would be considered aggression against the people of the state and by force. There will be resistance. On the same evening, several leaders were detained by the police and kept in temporary jails or in their homes. Layout removed.
More than a year after the repeal of Article 370, the leaders, including Mehbooba Mufti, have issued a joint statement in which they said that the Kashmiri people do not accept any move that involves our will. Don't be. According to the US Broadcasting Corporation, the Indian government has not yet reacted to the reiteration of the "Gupkar Declaration" by the six leaders of these parties, but Ravinder Raina, president of the local unit of the ruling BJP, said Jammu and Kashmir. The demand for restoration of sovereign status is ridiculous and a crazy dream.
